Dylans Session

Dylan's Senior Portrait Session

This is Dylan.  He's the sweetest!  HIs momma, Suzy, wanted senior portraits and as with most guys, he wasn't too keen on the idea.  When we met to start planning his session, I asked what his interests were/what he was in to.  He's an avid hunter and he has a truck.  Perfect!

Dylan's family has property near their home where he hunts, so that was the perfect place for his session.

Suzy wanted him to feel comfortable so she was fine with him wearing clothes he normally wears.  Flannels and hoodies.  Perfect (I'm noticing a pattern) 😉

Dylan and I started out by walking up a giant hill (I was dead by the time we reached the top).  We used this old rock wall.  I'd love to know its history...Anyway, starting with sitting down poses is sometimes a little more comfortable/less nerve-wracking.

We then went down to the trail and took some natural poses of him walking.  Super easy.  Movement is the easiest and most effective way to get the natural shots they were looking for.   Neither of them wanted shots that were too posey.

Next up, Dylan's truck.  Any guy with a truck is proud, no matter the its condition.  Including his truck was what rounded out his session and a part of who he is.

We finished up at Dylan's grandparents home and property.  The pond was the perfect backdrop for his fall session.  The reflecting colors add to the vibe.

Dylan's session was an absolutely perfect day.  He and Suzy are super chill and they had fun hangin out together.  I did too!
